The Drip Fairy exists to bring the beauty and authenticity of waist beads back to the forefront. As a first-generation Ivorian-American, waist beads have been part of my story for as long as I can remember. They’re more than just an accessory—they’re symbols of tradition, self-expression, and cultural pride.

I started Drip Fairy because I saw waist beads becoming popular but for all the wrong reasons. Fake materials, misinformation, and lost traditions were everywhere. I couldn’t stand by while something so meaningful was stripped of its roots. Every piece I offer is a connection to the truth, made with care, respect, and the intention of honoring their history while supporting African artisans.

While honoring the heritage of waist beads remains at the heart of my brand, I also understand that not everyone feels ready to embrace such a cultural item, and that’s okay. Which is why I’ve expanded to offer something for everyone, from handmade belly chains and bracelets to nose cuffs and more.
